I bought my pair directly from my local Mountain Warehouse store. The boots are attractive in appearance and they are very comfortable. The good points stop there!Everything else is a disaster. The so-called 'Isogrip' soles are lethal on damp ground, very slippery. The manufacturers need to look into the safety of the soles very carefully. Hiking boots should have a safety rating, like work boots. The nylon, round laces come undone every half mile or so. They also come unhooked very frequently and trip me up. The boots need old fashioned lace-holes and flat cotton laces to be properly safe. Finally, they are definitely not waterproof.
